Q: So, what does "Desi" mean?
This really is the most frequently asked question, and we absolutely, sincerely, love to answer it every time.
The word “Desi” comes from the Sanskrit word “Desh” meaning “country” or “homeland". But more than geography, Desi is a spirit: vibrant, soulful, unapologetically expressive. The meaning is personal to everyone. For some it could be the aroma of local street food that reminds them of home, for others it could be the music in a local café, and for us, it is the unmistakable bling of jewellery gleaming from stores in bustling bazaars. Desi is a vibe that is no longer limited to just a particular region of the world, and we are excited for you to find your desi vibe, with us.
About Our Jewellery
Q: Are your jewellery pieces really unique?
Yes! Most of our designs are sourced in very limited numbers, often just a single piece. This is especially true about our Asmi collection. All our statement pieces are sold only once. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. That means you’re wearing something truly rare and personal. While we may have a few pieces of a particular design from other collections, once the batch is sold out, the pieces are not restocked again.
Q: What materials do you use?
We offer a variety of jewellery, including gold and silver plated stainless steel, raw and plated brass, oxidised silver, German silver, fabric jewellery, and jewellery with American diamonds, crystals, and zircon stones. Each piece is carefully selected for its craftsmanship and beauty, meant to last and be cherished.
Q: Is your jewellery suitable for everyday wear?
Yes, many of our pieces are durable enough for everyday wear, especially the anti-tarnish ones. But since some are plated, we recommend following our care guide to keep them shining for longer.
Sustainability and Packaging
Q: Is your jewellery sustainably made?
Since we source from trusted sellers in India, we can’t always guarantee the production process is fully sustainable. However, we carefully and painstakingly handpick each piece that we sell, ensuring that it is made from materials that are meant to last, and we believe in small batch sourcing to reduce waste. We are also committed to making our packaging eco-friendly, using recycled kraft boxes, cardboard, plastic-free wrapping, and compostable shipping bags, so your unboxing experience is both beautiful and kind to the planet. We believe unboxing should be an experience in itself. Your jewellery will arrive beautifully wrapped in eco-conscious packaging, making it perfect for gifting, or for treating yourself.

Q: Do you ship outside Ireland?
Yes, we ship to all of European Union. Countries included are: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
Q: How much does shipping cost?
We offer flat-rate shipping across Ireland and EU. For orders within Ireland we offer free shipping above a certain order value (see our Shipping Policy for details).
Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are usually processed within 1–3 business days, and delivery typically takes 4–5 working days within Ireland. The timeframe for delivery across EU is 7-10 working days on an average.
Returns & Refunds
Q: Can I return my order if I don’t like it?
Yes, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery, as long as the jewellery is unworn and in its original packaging. You can check our detailed returns policy here.
Q: Are there any items that cannot be returned?
For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned.
